Everton yesterday completed the £20 million signing of Theo Walcott from Arsenal

Theo Walcott has left Arsenal behind him after 12 years, signing a three-and-a-half year contract with Everton for a fee believed to be in the region of £20 million.

The Toffees secured a deal for the England worldwide earlier in the week, signing him for £20m from the London-based side and making him put pen-to-paper to a three-and-a-half year deal.

Hector Bellerin has become one of the first Arsenal player to bid farewell to Theo Walcott. For whatever reason it did not happen this year, that's why I've moved on.

Walcott's former club Southampton were also interested in a deal.

'I will at some point go back and say my proper goodbyes but we do play them very soon, which I am looking forward to'. "I want to be a part of the atmosphere here and try to build something special", Walcott told EvertonTV.

Walcott had been struggling for game time at the Emirates this season with only six Premier League appearances, all off the bench. His 19-goal campaign last season was his second-best - he scored 21 in 2012-13 - but Walcott dipped down Arsene Wenger's depth charge and is leaving to pursue regular football. I'm sure he would have had other decisions to make.

Nations to Consider More N. Korea Sanctions, US Warns on Military Option
After days of talks, the two nations have agreed to march together during the opening ceremony under a unified flag. The name displayed during the marches was "Korea", although the North and South competed separately for medals.

"I just want to play football and enjoy it again".

Walcott's arrival should restore some balance to Everton's attack alongside Tosun, allowing Gylfi Sigurdsson to play in the middle with quick players on either side of him and the Turkish forward up front.

"The club has won trophies but I want them to win trophies now".

Sam Allardyce says Everton are unlikely to make any more signings this month, with the focus instead on moving players on. I think that is very important.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admitted he did not want Walcott to leave but said he could not guarantee the England global game time and admitted that was a "sensitive subject" in a World Cup year.

I'll be judged on goals and I was pleased with my goals last season.
