Now, the Common Cause watchdog group wants the Justice Department, the Federal Election Commission and Congress to investigate a $130,000 payment that President Trump's lawyer is alleged to have arranged weeks before the 2016 election for a former porn actress in an attempt to cover up her purported affair with Trump.

Stormy Daniels arrives at the 24th annual Adult Video News Awards Show at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Los Angeles, January 13, 2007.

Daniels had told In Touch she had a sexual tryst with Trump in 2006.

Last Friday, InTouch magazine published a lengthy 2011 interview with Daniels in which she details how her affair with Trump unfolded - an account corroborated by some of Trump's tweets from years gone by.

CNN has not independently confirmed The Wall Street Journal's reporting, and Cohen said in response to the initial report that Trump denied "any such occurrence".

On Tuesday, Common Cause announced a pair of legal complaints against Trump and related organizations alleging the possible violation of federal law in relationship to the purported payment of $130,000 by Trump's attorney, Michael Cohen. At the time, Trump was being accused of sexual assault by more than a dozen women.

And although Trump is alleged to have paid her for her silence, her antics won fans for him, with one saying 'I'm proud of our pimp-ass president'.

She also has a connection with Android 16, and she plays a significant role in the game's story mode. As both a Majin and an android, the character is a combination of two key races in Dragon Ball Z .

Although Trump's comments were in line with his history of racism, Pence insisted that the president is committed to a merit-based system for immigrants, "regardless of what country they come from or what their race and creed is".

In a nutshell, he doesn't think much about the allegations, dismissing them as "baseless".

Wearing a cleavage-baring pink dress, the adult film star took to the stage in Greenville, South Carolina, last night. The two have worked together for five years and Danny says this is the most she's ever been wanted for bookings.

Speaking to The Associated Press during a visit to Jerusalem on Monday, the vice president said he is "not going to comment on the latest baseless allegations against the president".

"We have a government shutdown, we have this awesome women's march going on today, and I am at a strip club by the airport in Greenville, South Carolina, to watch the woman the president was cheating on with his third wife".

Cohen has released a signed statement from Daniels denying the affair.
