FSU's Deondre Francois Cleared of Domestic Violence Charges; GF Began Breaking Things After She Was Told To

According to the report, Francois said he tried to carry her outside so she wouldn't break anything else, at which point she started swinging at him, ripped his shirt and told him, "I'm going to call the cops for domestic violence". Because both parties offered conflicting courses of events and there were no other witnesses, no charges were filed in that case.

Florida State University quarterback Deondre Francois, who played his senior season at IMG Academy, is under investigation for alleged domestic violence against his pregnant girlfriend, according to the Tallahassee Democrat. She said she locked herself in the bedroom but Francois broke the door down, picked her up, threw her to the ground, and tried to kick her out of the apartment. "Additionally, police call notes show officers responded to a domestic incident at the same time", reads the Tallahassee.com report.

The woman claims she found out at the hospital (after the incident) she was 9 weeks pregnant with a child she believes to be Deondre's. Lindsey told police that Francois knew that she was pregnant. She told police she did not want Francois to get in "trouble trouble" but wanted the authorities to scare him.

When police spoke with him, he told them that he and a friend had been "relaxing and watching ESPN" when his ex-girlfriend came into the home and started an argument with Francois. She also said Francois smoked marijuana recently, according to the report. Francois states that the woman began breaking items and tried to pull a TV off the wall. White, his FSU teammate, backed up his version of the incident.

His girlfriend, 23-year-old Diamond Lindsey, told police Francois was upset because another man tried to talk to her.

Department of Employment Releases Statement on New Job Numbers
The jobless rate in Lewis County fell nearly one percent from 7.6 percent in December 2016 to 6.8 percent last month. The total employment number in New Mexico is poised to reach over 880,000 for the first time since February 2009.

Francois opened the 2017 season as the team's starting quarterback, but suffered a season-ending knee injury in the season-opener against the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Francois, a redshirt sophomore, started 13 games for the Seminoles in 2016. He was the ACC's Rookie of the Year.

That injury cost Francois the rest of the season. Before the regular season ended, Jimbo Fisher left for the Texas A&M job and FSU subsequently hired Willie Taggart from Oregon.

He is expected to be healthy for the start of the 2018 season.
