Star forward Griffin, 28, was stunned when he was dealt to the Pistons Monday, having been drafted with the number one pick by the Clippers in 2009. In addition, the Clippers will send Brice Johnson and Willie Reed to Detroit.

On July 1, Griffin reached an agreement on a five-year, $171 million deal with the Clippers.

"I had just woke up from a nap and seen the news", James said of Griffin's trade. According to one report, the Clippers are hoping it won't be long until they acquire their next one, with Marc Stein of The New York Times reporting Tinseltown's No. 2 National Basketball Association team is gearing up for a summer run at LeBron James.

The biggest asset Griffin brings to the Pistons is his ability to create his own shot. Griffin has averaged 22.6 points and 7.9 rebounds in 33 games this season. "From being a #1 pick, to Lob City, to six straight Playoff appearances, I am so proud to have been part of the success of the Clippers organization".

#2018 Grammy: Did Lady Gaga steal Caroline Danjuma's look?
Hailee SteinfeldHer shimmering aquatic toned smokey eye look made her brown eyes pop. Here's how to get her look! Lady Gaga walked the red carpet looking like this.

Since then he has missed time with back spasms, a torn left quad, a broken hand, a staph infection, right knee surgery, a broken toe, a sprained left MCL and a concussion.

Griffin, a former rookie of the year and a five-time NBA All-Star, missed the entire 2009-10 season following surgery to fix a broken kneecap. He missed 21 games in 2017 and 47 in 2016. The Clippers may not be selling all their good players on a clearance rack, but it probably wouldn't take more than some combination of young prospects and/or first-round picks to pry away Jordan or Williams.

This was a major shocker for fans who have followed his career and even resigning with the team just this past summer.

Harris is averaging 18.1 points per game and 5.1 rebounds.
