Norwegian Olympics Team Orders 15000 Eggs By Mistake

Team Norway will be eating a lot of eggs this winter olympics after 15,000 eggs were delivered instead the 1500 they wanted

'The eggs was more like a misunderstanding than something that we needed, so it was an extra zero on the order, so 1,500 to 15,000, ' said chef Ovrebo.

Olympic athletes require plenty of protein, but not this much.

"When the truck showed up, they started to carry in the eggs", Norwegian Olympic Committee spokesperson Halvor Lea told CNN. "Absolutely unbelievable", chef Stale Johansen said to Norwegian newspaper, Aftenposten. They have been placing orders for things like eggs, vegetables and meat at local supermarkets. There was no end to the delivery. Thus, sparing their athletes the crippling gastrointestinal issues that would have arisen from consuming that many eggs.

Now the Norwegians just have the big decisions to make about how to take their eggs: poached, fried, scambled, on toast, as an omelette, frittata, baked or maybe even an egg salad.

Oil World Turns Upside Down as US Sells Oil in Middle East
The VanEck Vectors Oil Services ETF (NYSEAMERICAN: OIH) traded up about 0.1%, at $26.23 in a 52-week range of $21.70 to $33.74. IEA data shows that OECD stocks fell of 600,000 bpd in the last three quarters of 2017, the largest since 1984.

Following the delivery, the kitchen team returned the 13,500 eggs, but not before the chefs were able to post a photo of the amusing mix-up.

The chefs blamed a translation error, but it looks as if a typo might also be at fault.

What is certain is that Norway's team of chefs will need a crash course in Korean - or to polish their Google Translate skills - if they want to avoid another eggs-traordinary culinary fail at these Olympics.

The mistake apparently came courtesy of Google Translate, which the cooks used to fill out their ingredient list.
