Samsung Galaxy S8 oreo update

Alongside the two flagship devices, the South Korean smartphone manufacturer is also planning to bring a new wireless charger, which will somewhat resemble the existing one, as far as the design is concerned, hint reports. Apparently, some images have also been revealed which confirms these likely changes to the future smartphones of Samsung. Just a few days after, we now have this report that Samsung will probably be nixing the in-display sensor, to the sadness of the multitude of Samsung fans out there. In this case, there would be a bottom-firing speaker and another built into the earpiece. While many have wised up and started using Google's emoji to create some kind of standard, Samsung has its own, and now they're getting a little better with Android Oreo. Samsung is said to keep the fingerprint scanner on the back of the devices to accommodate the 18:9:5 aspect ratio.

A torrent of leaks and rumours have emerged ahead of the Galaxy S9's expected unveiling at Mobile World Congress on February 25. The company was expected to do this with the Galaxy S8 a year ago but we all know that didn't happen. According to Mashable, Animoji were one of the most highly anticipated features of the iPhone X, and the S9's corresponding technology may mean it's gearing up to be a serious competitor. Instead of on-screen, Samsung has made a decision to put a fingerprint scanner on the back of the device which will be similar to the one on Galaxy S8. The Bell's report states that using optical fingerprint sensors presents issues with accuracy, which is reportedly lowered because of issues with the OLED display's semi-transparent nature. When an optical sensor is employed it takes a toll on the accuracy of the sensor. The downsides are that they are expensive, have low yields, and are slower to recognize the fingerprint as compared to conventional fingerprint sensors.
