Uber Health introduced to provide reliable healthcare transportation By Rei Padla

Uber's launching a new business line called Uber Health on Thursday that will provide a ride-hailing platform available specifically to healthcare providers, letting clinics, hospitals, rehab centers and more easily assign rides for their patients and clients from a centralized dashboard - without requiring that the rider even have the Uber app, or a smartphone.

The service is also different from Uber's previous offerings in the heath care space, namely UberASSIST, which can serve patients with disabilities or who may need help getting from door to door.

According to Uber, coordinates can schedule rides on behalf of patients, caregivers and staff to take place immediately, within a few hours, or up to 30 days in advance.

To rectify the situation, Uber has partnered with numerous healthcare organizations to allow medical professionals to schedule rides for their patients.

The dashboard also comes with a printable sheet allowing the doctor to circle the incoming Uber's vehicle color and write down the license plate number.

Providers pay for the service in a single monthly bill, but can access patient accounts to monitor expenses and other metrics, such as usage frequency and trip durations, Uber Health said.

The FTC also focused on Uber's alleged "God View" function, which enabled employees to track any user during a ride and view their data and ride history. The patient doesn't need to do anything to book the appointment or confirm the ride, as everything is done for them. "It's not a replacement to ambulances", he says, but a reliable means of transportation to non-urgent medical services that he hopes will curb missed appointments.

And it's paid off: Just as an example, her first line of fragrances, all 300,000 of them, sold out the initial November launch . But, I think you really have to love what you do.

Uber Health can be accessed either as an online dashboard or as an application programming interface (API) that software developers can integrate into their own healthcare systems.

"Every year an estimated 3.6 million Americans miss their appointments due to a lack of reliable transportation".

According to Uber, over "100 healthcare organizations" in the USA are already taking full advantage of Uber Health as beta testers.

Uber Health is created to do that, by allowing clinics and other medical facilities to book rides on their clients' behalf, using a simple web dashboard where you input the client name, number and pick-up and top-off location, then select from Uber's range of ride hailing vehicle type options.

Transportation is, indeed, a barrier to good health care.

Instead of operating through an app, Uber Health will send its passengers' ride information through an SMS text message.
