Lamar Jackson: I'm a quarterback, plain and simple

NFL Draft 2018: 5 Teams that could use Lamar Jackson

"I can't speak for the media", Jackson said.

"No teams have asked me to play wide receiver".

Asked by a reporter whether he would be open to being used "all over the field" by a team that already has an established quarterback, Jackson said: "No wildcat".

Jackson, who had 7,203 passing yards over the past two seasons, was surprised by reports suggesting National Football League teams would request him to work out with wide receivers due to his speed.

"If I'm LJ and a team asked me to work out at WR, I wouldn't want to play for that team".

"I'm not going to their team, if anything", Jackson said during an entertaining 15-minute press conference in which he was playful, friendly and loose, but also unwavering in his belief in himself.

Jackson will instead be focusing on the on-field drills and other athletic drills, and it's hard to blame him. "I love those boys - Jarvis Landry, that would be a great offense".

These devices are relatively sleek, have their own pill-shaped camera setup at their back, and feature fingerprint scanners. There are likely to be a Zenfone 5 standard model, a dual-SIM version, a Zenfone Lite variant, and a Zenfone Max.

"Short, a little bit slight and clearly not the thrower the other guys are", Polian said recently.

"That's insane", he said, laughing.

He was bubbly and fun and often amusing Friday, like when he said of whether the wide receiver talk was disrespectful: "Yeah, that's insane, I thought I did a good job at quarterback". "They say what they want to say. I just have to show off my ability, yes sir". Jackson has some of the best deep speed of any player in the class, which is partly why some people think he should make a switch to wide receiver, or at least entertain the idea.

"I've been working on that a lot during my process - working on my accuracy", he said. "That's where I am at now".

Last season, Jackson completed 59.1 per cent of his passes for 3,660 yards with 27 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.

Jackson said he plans to throw here, to show teams what he can do. But NFL talent evaluators are seemingly trying to find every possible excuse to not take this dude seriously as a quarterback. I still think he's going to get a chance to prove that he can play quarterback. "I stay away from it, answer their questions". "You draft him, and wherever they're playing and used to playing ... that's usually where they play the best".

Many also doubt whether Jackson is making the right move by not hiring an agent. But, because of Jackson's experience, the offense wouldn't need to be completely overhauled.
