The 250-pound veteran turned in a couple of explosive performances last season, too, particularly when he racked up 136 rushing yards to bury the Chargers in Week 4 and then gained 90 yards on 14 carries in the Super Bowl. Blount, an unrestricted free agent, ran for a team-high 766 yards and two touchdowns during the regular season previous year in Philadelphia and scored three touchdowns during the Eagles' Super Bowl-winning run.

2017 - Eagles sign LeGarrette Blount to a one-year deal. Formerly of the Cincinnati Bengals, Burkhead signed with the team during last year's free agency period and posted over 500 yards from scrimmage and eight total touchdowns.

The 27-year-old started his final 22 games at the University of Iowa, but went undrafted in 2013 and subsequently signed with the Philadelphia Eagles.

A win this week would give him 80 in his career, just two shy of all-time leader Sam Snead. "I thought I played well today". The last time Woods won a major was at the US Open in 2008 and his last Green Jacket win came in 2005.

Blount gained a lot of respect for the way he handled his reduced workload. He proved not only to be an effective runner but was key in creating a loose locker room atmosphere and remained invested after losing snaps to Jay Ajayi, whom the Eagles acquired from the Miami Dolphins at the trade deadline. He had no carries in the second game of the season at Kansas City, but did not complain.

The Lions also added depth to their offensive line, signing unrestricted free agent guard Kenny Wiggins. "He's back with Matt Patricia, as the New England ties are strong", Rapoport tweets.

The Pittsburgh Steelers didn't want LeGarrette Blount in 2014, so he found his place with the New England Patriots and won a Super Bowl.
