Samsung Galaxy J3 (2018) receives Bluetooth certification ahead of launch

We've recently learned that AT&T, Cricket, Sprint, and T-Mobile will carry the mid-range smartphone as Samsung Galaxy J3 Express Prime, Galaxy Amp Prime 3, Galaxy J3 Emerge and Galaxy J3 Prime 2, respectively. Interested buyers can click on the "Notify Me" button on the Samsung's website to know whenever the handset is available.

However, Samsung is under pressure to embed the fingerprint sensor underneath the glass display as Chinese phone makers Vivo has already released phones with in-display readers.

Samsung's India website shows a price of INR 13,990 (~US$215) for the new phone, but it is now "sold out". This report comes on the heels of the rumors saying that Samsung will commercialize its in-display fingerprint reader this year. Both the phones will be available in three colours: Midnight Black, Coral Blue and Lilac Purple. Galaxy J7 Prime 2 is powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7 Series processor.

The Defense Department released a copy of a memo from Pentagon chief James Mattis dated 22 February that provided further details. That was exactly where Donald Trump was headed one day after announcing the new ban on transgender military members.

The smartphone packs an inbuilt storage of 32GB that can be expanded via microSD card up to 256GB. The smartphone is likely to be announced with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. There is also a 256GB storage variant of Galaxy S9, S9+ which are priced at Rs 65,900 and Rs 72,900, respectively. Both devices have an 8MP front camera for selfies.

The Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+ retain the 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch screen sizes of their predecessors, backed by Samsung's proprietary Super AMOLED panels and 2960x1440 pixel (WQHD+) resolution. The combined BoM cost for the smartphone's camera modules is $44.95, of which $34.95 is from the new primary camera, the research firm said. In the connectivity options, the smartphone includes Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth v4.1, headphones, single SIM (Nano), 3G and 4G.

A new report now says that Samsung actually is going forward with the plans to integrate a fingerprint sensor into the Note 9's display. Here is where the J7 Prime 2 stands.
