Finau finished the nine hole par 3 course on one-under, five shots behind the 68-year-old victor, Tom Watson. He's expected to begin play at 12:43 p.m. Thursday.

On Wednesday, the West High School and Salt Lake City native dislocated his ankle while celebrating a hole-in-one in the Par-3 tournament.

Masters hopeful Tony Finau is remaining optimistic of competing after suffering a dislocated ankle earlier this week. Until then though, all Finau could think about was elevation, ice and the possibility of having to withdraw from the Masters.

Finau continued his round, with the injury not looking to be as severe as it looked. Notably, Finau's driving ability is as good as any golfer on tour.

Going into the Masters, Finau was believed to be a potential sleeper to win the whole tournament. That's when I was like, maybe I can play golf.

Somehow, Finau appeared to be fine and kept playing. "I've got a few tears".
