According to reports, the explosion occurred during the festive kindling of the fire.

Ten people have suffered minor injuries after a bonfire in Stamford Hill exploded during a Jewish Festival.

Up to 30 people were injured in an explosion during a Jewish ceremony in North London on Wednesday night.

Dramatic footage shows a large crowd gathered around a bonfire before it erupted into a fireball.

Around thirty individuals are believed to have been treated for their injuries, with ten being taken to hospital. One of the preliminary version, the cause of the explosion was careless handling of fuel, which is used to start a fire.

London's ambulance service said it sent a hazardous area response team to assist Hatzola.

Police confirmed the injuries, adding: "No criminal allegations reported".

London Ambulance Service and the Jewish volunteer ambulance service Hatzola attended at around 11pm.
