Fox renews 'Lethal Weapon,' replaces star with Seann William Scott

Clayne Crawford, the now-former star of Fox's "Lethal Weapon", responded to the series' season three renewal with replacement Seann William Scott in an Instagram post Sunday shortly after the renewal was announced. Their reaction comes after Warner Bros. made a decision to replace Clayne Crawford and replace him with American Pie star, Seann William Scott.

"Seann is a fantastic addition to this already incredible cast", Fox Entertainment president Michael Thorn said in a statement.

The drama behind the scenes of the Lethal Weapon show has been well-documented over the last few months, now Damon Wayans will stay in his role as Roger Murtaugh, with the show being renewed for a third season.

With Wayans and Scott as new leading duo, Lethal Weapon has been renewed for a third season about 24 hours before Fox is slated to unveil its fall 2018 schedule to advertisers at its upfront presentation.
