Assassin’s Creed Odyssey leaks: is this the sequel to Origins?

It looks like Assassin's Creed Odyssey is the name of the new Assassin's Creed game from Ubisoft. And of course, the title Odyssey infers some connection to Ancient Greece, specifically the Trojan War - which took place in the 12th century BCE. The clip posted to Twitter appears to show a pair of Spartans (one with an officer's helmet, its crest running side-to-side) engaging in a practice popularised in modern culture by 300; the Spartan state hit its peak around 650 BCE.

With Assassin's Creed Odyssey now confirmed, it seems that the rumour mill has spun into overdrive, with the latest whispers reckoning that the latest AC game will introduce dialogue options to the formula, which will obviously retain the RPG elements and overhauled combat from Assassin's Creed Origins.

At the moment, no more information has been provided about the game, but it's very likely that we'll hear a lot more in a few days, as the Electronic Entertainment Expo kicks off in Los Angeles.

Maryland community heartbroken after second flood in 2 years
The devastation was especially hard to comprehend coming barely two years after the last flood that ravaged the city, he said. Photographs, videos and tweets show fast-moving water, overturned cars and damage to roads and businesses.

According to the site (via Google Translate), one insider sent an Assassin's Creed Odyssey keychain in the form of a Spartan head. Kotaku reached out to Ubisoft for comment, but of course, they did not reply.

Ubisoft has yet to officially announce a new entry in the Assassin's Creed series. Odyssey could release this fall, though Ubisoft could potentially release it early in 2019, thus avoiding the Fall rush of titles.

KitGuru Says: I really enjoyed Assassin's Creed Origins, so I already have high hopes for Odyssey. The builds reported on didn't have the Origins protagonists Bayek or Aya present, but that doesn't mean they won't make some kind of an appearance in the game. E3 is nearly here, so expect a full reveal during the big show.
