Putin's visits with top Israeli and Iranian officials on the war on Syria highlight his efforts to act as a peace broker in Syria and the broader Middle East.

Israel is alarmed by recent development in the area, saying the threat from Iran is growing.

"Israel can not allow [an] Iranian presence inside Syria".

Israel seized a large swathe of the Golan Heights from Syria in the 1967 Six-Day War and later annexed it in 1981, in a move never recognised by the worldwide community.

Israel has grown deeply alarmed by the expanding clout of its arch enemy Iran during the seven-year war in Syria. Wednesday's incident came as Netanyahu travelled to Russian Federation to meet President Vladimir Putin.

"I have set a clear policy that we do not intervene and we have not intervened".

Netanyahu's one-day trip to Moscow is part of the security coordination between the Zionist entity and Russian Federation over their actions in Syria.

Unstoppable Serena Williams closes in on Margaret Court's record
The victory over Goerges extended Williams' winning streak at Wimbledon to 20 matches, dating to the start of the 2015 edition. She's one match from making that happen, 10 months after childbirth. "I want to be around as long as I can to support her".

Moscow, Tehran and Damascus accused Israel of carrying out those raids. A source in the Syrian military has told media that the attack was perpetrated by Israel, although the IDF has yet to comment on the claims.

"They are treated in hospital and go back the same day", said Major Sergei Kutikov, an Israeli military health officer. "In that context, we rely on peaceful diplomatic means to resolve any differences and expect both sides to show restraint".

On June 24, Israel's military said it launched a Patriot missile at an incoming drone from Syria, which turned away unscathed.

Media reports suggested that Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump might announce such a compromise deal at their scheduled summit on July 16 in Helsinki, Finland.

"The IDF holds the Syrian regime accountable for the actions carried out in its territory and warns it from further action against Israeli forces", the Israeli army statement said.

That position is shared by most United States lawmakers from both sides of the aisle, many of whom are now concerned that when President Donald Trump meets with Putin early next week, he might make some kind of deal that leaves Syria in the hands of the Russians, and their Iranian allies.
