Russia Investigation: Giuliani Says He’s Not Sure Collusion Is a Crime

Giuliani says Trump could soon decide on Mueller interview

Donald Trump's lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, said the president did not know beforehand about a 2016 meeting between his campaign and Russians, as the president's former attorney is reportedly ready to tell prosecutors. Sounds to me like someone is trying to make up stories in order to get himself out of an unrelated jam (Taxi cabs maybe?). "He even retained Bill and Crooked Hillary's lawyer".

Donald Trump's lawyer Rudy Giuliani (joo-lee-AH'-nee) says the president may be open to an interview with special counsel Robert Mueller even if it involves some questions about alleged obstruction of justice in the federal investigation into Russian Federation interference in the 2016 election.

Cohen, who was Trump's lawyer at the time, wrote on July 11, 2017, which is the same day Trump Jr. shared emails about the meeting ahead of a New York Times report that was in the works.

But both CNN and NBC reported - citing anonymous sources - that Mr Cohen is willing to assert his claim to Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who is investigating Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and possible collusion with Mr Trump's campaign.

One Cohen tape that has surfaced reflects him and Trump in a 2016 discussion that appears to concern a woman who claimed to have had an affair with Trump.

The first such tape seems to contradict Giuliani, with Cohen and Trump discussing the delay of documents pertaining to Trump's divorce from his second wife, Ivana, until post-election. But from the start, I've had the sense that Giuliani does know specifically what Cohen is talking about but is denying the specifics. But he has said since that no "meaningful information" was offered and the meeting focused mostly on the issue of adoptions of Russian children.

Cohen's camp has denied being the source of the CNN report, the basic substance of which The Associated Press independently confirmed.

They would also want to forward buy so they are not subject to currency fluctuations, he said. He is, however, seriously concerned about much of the details of the plan.

But it lines up perfectly with what many have long suspected: that Trump was so excited about the dirt his campaign was going to receive two days later that he couldn't help but brag about it in public that night.

On Sunday, the former White House communications director Anthony Scarmucci, who only served in office for 11 days, noted that President Trump and Cohen used to be "very loyal to each other", but added that things have drastically changed since the Federal Bureau of Investigation raids in April.

Cohen is under federal investigation in NY.

"My observation is that it was an evolution that caused him to decide once Donald Trump was president that he had to tell truth and change his life", Davis told the AP.

But after the release of the Trump-Cohen recording, Trump criticized his former attorney, saying on Wednesday, "What kind of a lawyer would tape a client?" Giuliani claimed Sunday the recordings contained no evidence that implicated the president in illegal activity. One of the several topics he discussed with host Alisyn Camerota was Special Counsel Robert Mueller's Russian Federation probe, and how long he thinks it will continue.

Legal experts told Business Insider last week that they found it freaky that Cohen felt the need to record a conversation with Trump, and some said they had never heard of an attorney secretly recording a client. "How stupid and unfair to our Country", he tweeted.
