Listen to the conversations Omarosa secretly recorded of John Kelly

On Sunday on NBC's Meet the Press, Manigault played tapes she recorded of White House Chief of Staff John Kelly while in the Situation Room.

Kelly is heard referring to potential "difficulty" in Manigault Newman's future "relative to your reputation".

Former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman says she has personally heard a tape of US President Donald Trump using racial slurs.

She claimed that the White House destroyed some of her personal belongings that they still had possession of.

The president appeared to back this sentiment on Saturday when he spoke before reporters and called Omarosa a "lowlife" when asked about her book, as Business Insider reported. She also says she later concluded that he is a racist and a bigot. "And what the president really wants, if you look at all of his tweets and don't just cherry pick them, the gravity of his tweets. are that he wants to make sure we're investigating all sides of...so called Russian collusion".

"I think it's incredibly important in Trump world that you protect yourself, because everyone constructs their own reality", Manigault Newman told The New York Times on Sunday.

"Nobody even told me about it", Trump is heard saying.

But there are very few particulars that can be verified in her book; many are clearly wrong, such as an inaccurate account of what Trump said during remarks on his second day in office at Central Intelligence Agency headquarters in Langley, Virginia.

She also said she was inadvertently complicit in covering up Trump's perceived racism. She told Todd that she heard a recording of Trump using the n-word.

"I don't love you leaving at all", he added.

White House aides are exploring what punishment she could face for the purported recording in the Situation Room and in the building, according to a senior administration official.

Manigault Newman served as the White House director of communications for the Office of Public Liaison from January to mid-December of 2017 but has been unsparing in her criticism of the president since her departure. In another portion of the tape that was played on Meet the Press, Omarosa asks Kelly if the president is aware that she is being fired, to which he replies that their conversation is "non-negotiable".

"I've heard his voice", Manigault Newman said.

"General Kelly came to me and said that you guys wanted me to leave", Omarosa responds.

Trump ridiculed the mainstream media for taking her seriously.

The audio recording - which does not provide the full conversation with Trump - allegedly dates back to the day after Kelly fired Manigault-Newman.

Newman's taping of her ouster sparked immediate criticism because she secretly recorded Kelly in the ultra-secure Situation Room, where cell phones and other electronic devices are prohibited.

Manigault Newman said that she had a "blind spot" when it came to President Trump.

The response from the White House was stinging.
