Per this report from 9 To 5 Mac (which also reported that Apple XS story earlier), the new Apple Watch Series 4 definitely looks to be a huge upgrade over the previous model, with a new edge-to-edge display that really takes advantage of the design. While most of Apple's iPhone hardware itself may remain the same, if this leaked image of a gold "iPhone XS" is to be believed, nixing the button will force a reckoning with the messy UX and gestural UI tangle that Apple has pushed this year.

It went on to state that Apple will also unveil a new watch, the Apple Watch Series 4.

Apple sent out invitations to press on Thursday for a special event on september 12 at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, CA.

The big changes start off with an edge-to-edge display, which gives the new watch a 15 percent bigger display.

The Watches will look similar to current models, but will include larger screens that go almost edge-to-edge. On the similar lines, Apple will be launching three new iPhones this year.

Judging by Apple's past actions, analysts expect the company will begin selling some of the new models by the end of September. They'll remove the home button and fingerprint sensing in lieu of an iPhone X-like gesture interface and Face ID for unlocking the tablet, people familiar with the plans said.
