'The Bachelor': Colton Underwood to Be Season 23 Star of ABC Series

Colton Underwood, who previously appeared on Becca Kufrin's cycle of "The Bachelorette" and most recently on "Bachelor in Paradise", is the next lucky man looking for love on the long-running reality series. But when the two split on Monday's episode of "Bachelor in Paradise", the door was open for Colton to be the next Bachelor.

In a separate interview with People, the 26-year-old football star added, "I'm very excited".

Nick in the Morning readers were teased last week about how Colton Underwood might be the new star of ABC's "The Bachelor".

"That's what I'm looking forward to the most, is being engaged and getting married shortly after that", he said Tuesday on "Good Morning America." After spending several episodes with Tia Booth, he finally confessed things were not going to work out between then and drove away in tears once again.

Speaking about announcing he is still a virgin on Becca's season of The Bachelorette, he said: 'I think that's the one thing I took pride in, just being true to who I am.

Over 99% of demonetised notes were returned: RBI
Political parties were quick to corner the BJP-led Narendra Modi government that demonetised high-value currency notes to curb black money.

Tia will not be a contestant, and this means that all the willing ladies will still have a chance with Colton.

The Bachelor Season 23 will premiere in January. As a result, some fans felt the opinions of Bachelor Nation weren't exactly taken into account when choosing Underwood.

But fans were quick to take to social media to refute this claim, as the 26-year-old dated U.S. gymnast Aly Raisman between 2016 and 2017 and pictures of the pair with Colton's family appeared online. "That's what I'm hoping for". Tia didn't waste any time congratulating Colton!

There was some support for Colton, but it was mostly coming from one person.
