She also posted a photo on Twitter of her holding a "Big Brother" reading card to tease her appearance on the episode.

"I'm Julie Chen Moonves".

With those four flawless words at the end of Thursday's live episode of "Big Brother", Chen finally broke her silence on the scandal involving her husband Les Moonves being fired as CBS's chairman and CEO. Chen did not address the news during the episode.

The 48-year-old ended Thursday's "Big Brother" broadcast by saying, "From outside the "Big Brother" house, I'm Julie Chen Moonves. Welcome to double eviction night!" so the way in which she signed off was a strong statement that she's still proud to be Les' wife.

Earlier this week, Chen said in a statement she was taking a few days off to be with family. She had never used her husband's last name on the CBS reality show before.

Kim, who was joined by Chinese special envoy Li Zhanshu, smiled and waved to crowds but did not make any public statements. This year's parade wasn't televised but the state media apparatus filmed it - even using drones with cameras.

Moonves became the center of yet another one of the entertainment industry's #MeToo controversies in July after Ronan Farrow's article in the New Yorker detailed sexual misconduct allegations by six women against the executive. "I did a great job of putting [a target on me] to begin with", Haleigh told Chen after they exchanged compliments with each other. Following the story's publication, CBS's board launched an investigation into Moonves, The Post reported.

In a statement late Sunday announcing his departure, Moonves denied the allegations.

The executive producer of the CBS television program 60 Minutes, Jeff Fager, is leaving CBS News, according to a company memo on Wednesday, amid reports of inappropriate behaviour.

Julie Chen, 48, has remained radio silent about her husband Les Moonves stepping down as CBS' chairman on September 9 amid sexual harassment and workplace misconduct allegations.

"I have known my husband, Leslie Moonves, since the late '90s, and I have been married to him for nearly 14 years", Chen wrote. He has always been a kind, decent and moral human being.
