Nintendo is rolling out its Switch Online service next week

With a Nintendo Switch Online membership, you can play enhanced NES™ games the way they're meant to be played-using Nintendo Entertainment System-style controllers! These will include Super Mario Bros, Ice Climbers, and the original Legend of Zelda.

NINTENDO HAS CONFIRMED that its long-awaited Switch Online service is arriving next week. These Switch compatible NES controllers will slide onto the Switch just like Joy-Con, playing wirelessly for all those upcoming NES titles for Online Service subscribers. You also have the option of a family subscription.

It'll be free for the first week but after that it'll cost £3.49 a month, £6.99 for three months, or £17.99 for a year. Prior to this change, you should verify that your Nintendo Account or your childs Nintendo Account is linked to the correct user profile.

Will you be signing up for Switch Online once it debuts on September 18th?

Despite being classic NES games, Nintendo has at least been kind enough to add some modern day functionality to them. To start, those who get the 12-month subscriptions will also be getting download codes for exclusive Splatoon 2 cosmetics. But we do know that the service will enable online play, cloud game saving and more.

Nintendo's long-awaited online service finally has a launch date.
