TV9 has gone through court documents from 15 court cases involving Collin Richards, the man accused of killing Iowa State University student Celia Barquin Arozamena, dating back to 2014, many of them connected to violent crimes.

The 22-year-old Iowa State University student's body was discovered Monday morning by staff at Goldwater Golf Links in the city of Ames.

22-year-old Collin Daniel Richards has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in her death.

"Celia was a attractive person who was loved by all her teammates and friends", said Christie Martens, Iowa State head women's golf coach.

Police found Richards at a homeless camp.

"What did he do to her?" an acquaintance of Richards allegedly asked officers who were searching the area.

Iowa State football coach Matt Campbell spoke about the death during a meeting with the media on Tuesday.

Police found bloody clothes belonging to Richards, but DNA test results had not been returned yet, Huff said.

"This is a tragic and senseless loss of a talented young woman and an acclaimed student athlete", said Dr. Wendy Wintersteen, Iowa State University's president. He said police have had "past encounters" with Richards but that he did not know details, or any information about Richards' criminal record. She recently won an amateur tournament in Europe and competed in the U.S. Women's Open Championship. She also said she might be open to considering a plan to require Iowa employers to use the government's E-Verify system to check their workers' eligibility to be in the US, although it's not clear whether that would have prevented the farm from hiring Rivera. In another, he threatened to return to a convenience store to shoot clerks who caught him shoplifting.

That man told investigators Richards had said in recent days that he had "an urge to rape and kill a woman", the complaint said.

"We are asking Cyclone fans to enter the stadium earlier than normal and embrace Celia's teammates, coaches and friends", Iowa State athletic director Jamie Pollard said in a statement Wednesday.
