He denies the allegations.

"I want to watch, I want to see", he said at a news conference Wednesday in NY. And the truth is that I have never sexually assaulted anyone-not in high school, not in college, not ever. The photo shows Ford's view as she testifies about her own trauma, a view that shows exclusively old white men - the same demographic that hurt her.

"I look forward to what she has to say", Trump said. "And she will tell her experience today".

"Republican senators have delayed this for weeks now", Mr Trump said.

Republicans, under pressure from conservatives to confirm Kavanaugh, are forging ahead with plans for a full Senate vote as early as Tuesday.

"My motivation in coming forward was to provide the facts about how Kavanaugh's actions have damaged my life, so that you can take that into serious consideration as you make your decision about how to proceed", she concluded.

But some Republicans have expressed reservations about rushing through Justice Kavanaugh's nomination.

The Iowa Republican promised a "safe, comfortable and dignified" atmosphere Thursday as his committee hears from both. I recall saying that the boy who assaulted me could someday be on the U.S. Supreme Court and spoke a bit about his background.

But at least a hint of doubt has crept in.

Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., asked her what she remembered. Democrats have continued to call for a delay in Kavanaugh's confirmation vote and have pushed for an FBI investigation into the allegations.

Sumer Ghazala, a first-year law student, said some students felt they had a special responsibility to speak out because of the school's connection to Kavanaugh.

Questions for Ford will be aimed at giving her a chance to explain herself.

The hearing will start at 10 a.m., with Ford testifying first, followed by Kavanaugh.

The all-male Republican contingent on the Senate judiciary committee brought in a female prosecutor, Rachel Mitchell, to ask questions of Prof. "They have been seared into my memory and have haunted me episodically as an adult". That was an apparent reference to Kavanaugh and his friend Mark Judge. They say the good-guy image he projects in public bears little relation to the hard-partying behavior they witnessed when he was young.

Dr. Ford's report also included a handwritten statement and an interview.

"It's happened to me many times", he said, claiming he had been accused - falsely - by "four or five women".

Ford said she received a call from the office of Congresswoman Anna Eshoo in July after Kavanaugh was nominated to the top court.

Nothing on the calendar appears to refer to her.

Opening the session on Thursday morning, Republican senator Chuck Grassley thanked both Kavanaugh and his accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, for appearing before the committee. Chuck Grassley said the committee is now reviewing the document. Ford alleges that one night in the summer of 1982, a drunken Kavanaugh forced her down on a bed, groped her and tried to take off her clothes. The anonymous complaint was sent to Senator Cory Gardner (R-Col.).

The third woman to come forward, Julie Swetnick, said she saw Kavanaugh engage in sexually abusive behavior as a teenager and claimed she had been drugged and gang-raped at a party he attended in approximately 1982.

Ford also during her sworn testimony that she was "100 percent" certain that it was Kavanaugh who attacked her.
