Third Kavanaugh accuser: I don't think be belongs on the Supreme Court

Julie Swetnick was the third woman to come forward with allegations of sexual misconduct by Brett Kavanaugh- after two accusers claimed to have been assaulted by the Supreme Court nominee in the 1980s

Julie Swetnick was the third woman to come forward with allegations of sexual misconduct by Brett Kavanaugh- after two accusers claimed to have been assaulted by the Supreme Court nominee in the 1980s

Trump defended Kavanaugh, now a federal appeals court judge, at a NY news conference, but the president's comments injected another note of uncertainty into Kavanaugh's already troubled bid for a lifetime appointment to the nation's highest court.

"He groped me and tried to take off my clothes", she said.

Brett Kavanaugh's third accuser is adding her voice to the uproar surrounding the Supreme Court nominee.

Her comments come as Kavanaugh is due to testify on Thursday against sexual assault allegations made against him by Christine Blasey Ford.

Kavanaugh has vehemently denied the allegation.

The magazine also warned Republicans on the committee against voting for Kavanaugh without investigating all of the women's claims.

Swetnick, 55, who lives in Washington, D.C., said she graduated from Gaithersburg High School in Montgomery County, Maryland.

Trump himself has faced multiple accusations of sexual misconduct.

I'd Prefer To Keep Rosenstein, May Delay Planned Meeting On His Fate
Rosenstein appointed Mueller in May 2017, oversees his work and has repeatedly defended the breadth and scope of the probe. Even if Rosenstein survives the week, it's not clear how much longer he'll be around.

In the face of the new allegations against Kavanaugh, the Democrats of the Senate Judiciary Committee have called on Trump to either withdraw Kavanaugh's nomination or to direct the FBI to reopen an investigation into his background. "I am innocent of this charge". Ken White, a former federal prosecutor, says that in practice, "the nature of the allegations in the complaint, and their age, would make it extremely hard to prove they were false, let alone knowingly false", so this does not, despite what many have assumed, necessarily make her statement much more credible than those given to the media. This makes her the third woman to do so and comes just ahead of Thursday's Senate hearing.

Inside the hearing, Dr. Ford's voice cracked as she recounted the night she says Brett Kavanaugh attacked her. "Circumstances brought it out that way", she said. Her allegations (which Kavanaugh denies) are so upsetting they're nearly unbelievable, except that they were made in a sworn affidavit that she signed under penalty of perjury. I drank beer with my friends, usually on weekends. This is what terrified me the most.

The Senate Judiciary Committee said its lawyers were "in the process" of reviewing Ms. Swetnick's declaration, which it said Mr. Avenatti provided to the committee Wednesday morning.

Julie Swetnick, a resident of Washington, DC, alleges that Kavanaugh and his friend, Mark Judge, were present during a party where she was drugged and gang-raped.

"I have a firm recollection of seeing boys lined up outside of rooms at many of these parties waiting for their "turn" with a girl inside the room".

On Wednesday, Avenatti released a sworn statement from Swetnick in which she accused Kavanaugh of participating in serial gang rapes.

"During the incident, I was incapacitated without my consent and unable to fight off the boys raping me", she claimed.

In her statement to the Senate Judiciary Committee, Swetnick said Kavanaugh was present at a high school party around 1982 where she was the victim of a "gang" rape.
