Cardi B turning herself in to police following Queens strip club incident

Cardi B was all smiles this afternoon (Oct. 1) as she walked out of a Queens police precinct after turning herself in to NYPD in connection to an assault of two bartenders back in August.

Officer Andrew Lava, a spokesman for the New York Police Department, confirmed that the platinum-selling rapper, accompanied by her attorney, surrendered at the 109th Precinct, was arrested and released with a "desk appearance ticket" to return to face the charges at a later, unspecified court date. Cardi B will be charged with two misdemeanors, disorderly conduct, and reckless endangerment.

The charges stem from an incident at the Angels Strip Club in Flushing, New York on August 29. At some point, she'd reportedly run into Jade, who had allegedly previously claimed to have slept with Offset.

Cardi will appear in court on October 29 for a "Best appearance ticket", which means she has to appear to pay a fine.

A person who witnessed the incident who asked for anonymity because they were not authorised to speak publicly told The Associated Press that Minaj was finishing up a conversation with someone when Cardi B tried to attack her, but Minaj's security guards intervened.

TMZ reported that the 25-year-old was at the club because Migos, her husband Offset's rap trio, was performing.

According to her social media accounts, Cardi is still busy working, though. "We expect that the matter is going to be resolved expeditiously".

The Bronx native was reportedly "throwing chairs, bottles and hookahs [smoking pipes] in the club at 3 a.m.", said the rep.

The Bodak Yellow hitmaker is thought to have had her mug shot and fingerprints taken at the station.

It is not yet clear what role, if any, Cardi B played in the brawl.
