Video site YouTube experiencing a worldwide outage

YouTube, the Google-owned streaming service, said it was looking into reports of issues with its services after several people took to Twitter to complain about broadcasting issues. YouTube has had similar issues in the past, but they aren't common and rarely last as long as Tuesday's - more than 50 minutes.

The outage appeared to begin some time around 9:45 p.m. ET and ended about an hour later.

YouTube tweeted a statement that they are aware of the issue and are working to resolve it as soon as possible.

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has an "untouchable" position at the club in a similar fashion to Lionel Messi at FC Barcelona, according to a report from Spain.

As with all Google-operated services, serious downtime for the video-sharing website is pretty rare. "If you continue to experience issues, please let us know", tweeted Team You Tube. Users across the world started to notice around 6.50 am (India time) that YouTube's desktop and mobile applications were down.

Your favorite video search engine was down and faced widespread outage, saying "working on resolving this". "We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and will keep you updated", Team Youtube posted on Twitter.

YouTube did not say what caused the global blackout. Similar to the website, the YouTube app showed blank areas on the homescreen, while navigating to the "trending", "subscriptions" and "library" tabs returned error messages.
