It's not too late to jump on the lottery train - there's more than $2 billion up for grabs this week.

The winning numbers for Saturday's drawing were 16, 54, 57, 62, 69 with a Powerball of 23.

Carole Bober Gentry, a spokeswoman for the participating Maryland Lottery, said so many Mega Millions tickets have been sold that 75 percent of the projected winning number combinations will have been chosen by the time of drawing - making it more likely that someone will walk away with the jackpot.

The victor might opt for the cash prize of more than $270 million, from which the federal government will take 25% right away, and more later.

The odds of matching all six numbers and winning the Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 302.5 million.

The next Mega Millions drawing will be on Tuesday. That's the largest jackpot in USA history.

Cannabis retailers still short of supply on second day of legal pot
As of today, illegal operators face significant fines, and they will not be granted licenses to participate in the legal market. Topher Graham and Tristan Risk, who were buying pot at the stand, said they took the day off work to celebrate legalization.

That's right. Mega Millions "entered historic territory" Saturday after officials confirmed there were no winners for Friday's drawing.

If more than one victor is picked, the jackpot would be divided proportionately, as happened when the previous Mega Millions record of $656 million was drawn in March 2012 and was shared by winners in Kansas, Illinois and Maryland, a lottery official said.

The current jackpot been growing since July, when some California office workers won $543 million.

Powerball has climbed since there was a victor in NY on August 11.

Powerball and Mega Millions are the two games with the largest payouts offered by the N.C. Education Lottery, and both are sold in many other states.

The $2 million victor has not yet claimed their prize.
