Trump Distances Self From Possible GOP Midterm Flop: 2020 Is 'Real Election'

Democrats' dilemma in key House races Bash Trump in attack ads or steer clear

President Donald Trump poked fun at former US Vice-President Joe Biden Saturday, on a day when both politicians were campaigning in Nevada for candidates on the November 6 ballot.

Twenty-six Democrat and nine Republican seats are up for reelection in November with all 26 Democratic seats held by incumbents and only six by Republicans in their respective states. "But it's just classic behavior on the part of this president to not shoulder the blame if things go bad, and to definitely take responsibility if things go right". In their 2010 and 2014 triumphs during Barack Obama's presidency, Republicans won independents by 19 and 12 points, respectively.

But polls have tightened in recent weeks, especially after the bitter fight in early October over conservative judge Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation to the US Supreme Court.

The two congresswomen are vying for the seat of Republican Sen.

Meanwhile former Vice -President Joe Biden says American values are "being shredded by a president who is all about himself". But Heller has since become an ally of the president, who has made two fundraising stops for him in Nevada this year already.

"Had they done what the Bush guys did by making it advance-able and giving everybody a 'Trump check, ' then maybe people would have had something a little more tangible", they explained.

Trump claims migrant caravan contains 'unknown Middle Easterners'
The Trump administration says that they support the Mexican government in their efforts to address this migration crisis. And this time, they're all in cahoots with one another! Anyone who makes it to the USA will be immediately deportable.

He won Nevada in his 2008 and 2012 campaigns, and Democrat Hillary Clinton carried the state by 2 percentage points over Trump in 2016. For months this and expectations of a high voter turnout has led many to believe the party will at least retake the House. There is a built-in "counter-tendency inherent in midterm elections", according to the late US political scientist Barbara Hinckley, and they provide "yet another check on the president".

Data suggests there has been a large shift in Senate election forecasts favoring Republicans after the treatment of Kavanaugh in the media and the mishandling of his sexual misconduct allegations.

Adam Schiff, the top Democrat on the House intelligence panel, wrote on Friday in the Washington Post that the Republican-controlled Congress had abdicated its oversight duty and "been complicit in some of the president's most egregious attacks on our democratic institutions".

Most often, the power transfer has been in midterms that take place during a president's second term, when voter apathy with the president and his party tends to surface.

Republicans face an additional challenge as they are fighting to hold into the House: Democratic candidates/challengers are out raising (and in several dozen cases, substantially out raising) Republican candidates, so they have adequate funds to get their message out. The GOP-leaning region of the battleground state is crucial to Trump's hopes of protecting or expanding Republicans' 51-49 edge in the Senate.

Trump added: "What happened on the border is caused by the Democrats".
