Earlier in the day the royal couple received a warm welcome from locals as they touched down in the attractive country for a three-day visit.

After a hectic start to the 16-day tour, which also includes New Zealand, Meghan scaled back her scheduled commitments to catch up on some rest.

A war veteran's widow has revealed the incredible response given by Prince Harry after palace aides attempted to cut short their conversation.

The former "Suits" actress wore a gorgeous, $1,430 blue, caped dress by Safiyaa to attend a state dinner in Fiji with her husband, Prince Harry.

Fiji is the next stop for the couple, followed by Tonga.

Kensington Palace then released a statement, saying the Duchess was taking a well-deserved break and cutting back on her appearances. The couple spent the weekend kicking off the Invictus Games, where Harry admitted to a fan that he hopes he and Meghan will have a baby girl.

While in Fiji, Prince Harry will travel to Colo-i-Suva, an indigenous forest with many flora and fauna native to the Pacific nation. Andrews added that the "Fijian blue" of Meghan's dress is a "tribute to her hosts".
