A spokeswoman for the China Foreign Ministry has suggested President Trump switch to a Huawei phone after the New York Times reported that Chinese and Russian spies are most likely tapping the US President's iPhones.

Such reports were "evidence that the New York Times makes fake news", she said, adding two suggestions that were apparently aimed at the Trump administration.

"If they are really very anxious about Apple phones being bugged, then they can change to using Huawei", she said, referring to China's biggest telecommunications equipment maker.

They say Huawei may have ties to the Chinese government or ruling Communist Party, increasing the risk of spying.

According to the New York Times, anonymous officials have revealed that China and Russian Federation have engaged in some form of espionage activity by listening in on the American president's frequent phone calls with friends and allies done through his Apple iPhone.

As the report noted, Trump indicated to the Wall Street Journal this week that he had discretion about information transmitted through his phone.

In the bottom half, Muncy drew a leadoff walk and tagged up when Nunez caught a foul pop and tumbled into the third base stands. Muncy would decide the issue five innings later after both teams had nearly emptied their lineups using nine pitchers each.

Trump repeatedly excoriated his Democratic rival in the 2016 presidential campaign, Hillary Clinton, on the issue of secure communications, rebuking her for her use of a private email address and server while she was secretary of state.

Meanwhile, reports claimed that the Trump administration was preparing to order up to 1,000 US troops to the US-Mexico border to deal with the more than 5,000-strong migrant caravan making its way towards the border.

The reason for all bans is Huawei's very close relationship with the Beijing government and reports from intelligence officials who fear that this close relationship might allow China to spy on foreign governments through Huawei equipment. "We already treat such publications with humor", a spokesman said, according to Bloomberg.

As for President Trump, he reacted just as everyone expected by going to Twitter and calling the NYT report "soooo wrong". "All in all, we, by this time, are treating such material with humor".

American intelligence has always been concerned about Trump's use of his iPhones, a news report said.

Blackstone Group chief executive Stephen Schwarzman and Las Vegas casino magnate Steve Wynn are among "ideal targets" identified by China who can eventually convey the Asian nation's views to Trump, the New York Times said. The officials said they were doing so not to undermine Trump, but out of frustration with what they considered the president's casual approach to electronic security.
